Brenda Liddiard - Videos
RAIN
This song, and later the video, emerged after witnessing a rather sad incident on a Wellington street, late one wet night
BREATHE
This video is a combination of images taken from my paintings, and my first attempt at an electronica piece created in Garageband
YOUR NAME
This song was recorded live for the Godsong Cafe series a few years ago, in Auckland. Produced by Andrew Dallaston. Thanks to Shine TV for permission to reproduce.
THE STORM
A Wellington weather song which resulted from having to spend a day marooned by nasty weather
THE VOICE
Filmed as part of the Kaka Lodge Sessions in 2004, where a community of musicians spent a winter week at a ski lodge and collaborated on recordings, this was an impromptu attempt at a brand new song.
FOR THE RIVER
In 1988 I won the Pacific region section of a United Nations Environment Programme Asian/Pacific songwriting competition, and was invited to perform at the resulting festival in Bangkok, which was broadcast live to a (probably bemused) Thai audience of 18 million. A weird & wonderful experience!
